Paul H. Hoisington, Sr., 87, of Bangs, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Bangs Nursing Home. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Mukewater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
He was born Paul Herschel Hoisington on December 6, 1928 in Uvalde to David Augusta Hoisington and Bessie Mae Davis Hoisington. On December 17, 1945, he married Johnnie Cheesman in Paint Rock. She preceded him in death on July 6, 2013. Mr. Hoisington worked in road construction as a heavy equipment operator thru the early 1970's. He changed careers and owned and operated The Truck Stop in Mason and later the Cactus Patch Truck Stop in San Angelo thru the late 1970's. He then owned Hoisington Exxon in Bangs until his retirement in 2004. He attended Freedom Fellowship in Early.
Survivors include his children, Paul H. Hoisington, Jr. and his wife, Alice, of Bangs, Paulette Shipp of Brownwood, Gracie Nel Kramer, of Kerrville; five grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
