Pauline R. Dela Rosa

Pauline R. Dela Rosa, age 81, of Coleman, died Friday, January 27, 2017, at Coleman Healthcare Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 303 E. College, Coleman, with Rev. Chinnapureddy Pagidela (Father Chinna) officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born April 10, 1935 in Menard County, Texas, a daughter of Moses Rodriguez and Martha Estrada Rodriguez. She grew up in Menard County and attended school there. On February 22, 1952 she married Gus Garza Dela Rosa in Menard and he preceded her in death in 2005. She moved to Coleman in 1952 where she lived until moving to San Antonio five years ago to live with her daughter. She had returned to Coleman about a month ago. She had worked as a Nurse's Aide for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas.

Survivors include four sons, Johnny G. Dela Rosa, Joseph Anthony Dela Rosa and wife Joy, Rueben Rodriguez Dela Rosa and Tommy Lyn Dela Rosa all of Coleman; one daughter, Jana Marie Dela Rosa Alcala of San Antonio; Steven's wife, Hollie; two sisters, Lorene Guevara of Bangs and Susie Hughes of Brownwood; one brother, Robert Rodriguez of Dallas; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Steven Paul Dela Rosa.

There will be a visitation beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, followed by a Rosary at 5:30 p.m., in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
