Peggy Sue Boatright

Peggy Sue Boatright, age 79, of Coleman, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Peggy Sue Thwing on December 10, 1936 in Coleman, a daughter of Robert James Thwing and Gladys Guthrie Thwing. She grew up in Coleman County where she attended school at Voss and graduated from Mozelle High School. On November 2, 1958 she married Don Boatright in Coleman and they have celebrated 57 years of marriage. Peggy was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked for many years at Coleman County Medical Center and Coleman Healthcare. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband Don Boatright of Coleman; two daughters, Sue Ann Boatright and Cherie Renee Boatright both of Coleman; grandson, Teddy Don Boatright of Coleman; granddaughter, Whitney Dawn Davidson and husband Harley of Belton; great-grandchildren, Reigan Davidson and Taylor Boatright; three sisters, Eva Beth Brown of Houston, Bobby Mayo of Fort Worth and Pam McGaugh of Fort Worth; brother-in-law, Ted Boatright of Coleman; sister-in-law, Erlene Barker of Coleman; numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Gladys Thwing; a grandson, Jimmy Boatright; two brothers-in-law, Brit Brown and Gene Barker.

Memorials may be made to Coleman County Medical Center Palliative Care, 310 S. Pecos, Coleman, Texas 76834.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 14, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
