Randall "Randy" Ray French

Randall "Randy" French, 59, of Coleman, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Matthew French officiating, assisted by Grady Sanders. Burial will be in the Valera Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Randy was born October 11, 1955 in Coleman to Flossie Moore French and the late Raymond French. He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1974. He attended Cisco Junior College in Cisco and later attended Angelo State University in San Angelo. On August 7, 1976, he married Jeanne Hoover in Coleman.

Randy worked for Texas Department of Transportation in Coleman in the maintenance department then transferred to the Brownwood District Office. After his retirement from TxDOT, he worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Brownwood for 1994 to 1996 and was co-manager of Home Video in Coleman until 1999. Randy loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed playing golf. Randy was a Coleman Bluecat fan through and through and was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne French of Coleman; his mother, Flossie French of Coleman; three children, Matthew French and wife, Rachelle, of Arlington, Connie Withers of Coleman, Johnnie French of Coleman; five grandchildren, Deanna Withers of Coleman, Bryson, Andrew and Graham French all of Arlington, Daniel Withers of Coleman; four brothers and sisters, Bill French and wife, Lena, of Duncanville, Bobby French and wife, Dorothy, of Brownwood, Rick French and wife, Debbie of Brazoria, Sheila French of Abilene; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy and Becky Hoover of Coleman, Mark and Beatrice Phillips of Santa Anna and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father, Raymond French on September 17, 1994.

Memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice Care or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home.
