Raul J. Perez

Raul J. Perez, 81, of Coleman, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Coleman County Medical Center. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Maurine Wilson officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.

Mr. Perez was born November 20, 1933 in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Francisco Perez and Maria Anna Jaime Perez. He grew up in Lampazos and attended school there. He immigrated to the United States and moved to Coleman in 1949. He married Elia Eulalia Andrade on November 15, 1953 in Coleman. He was a laborer and a member of the Baptist Church Mission.

Survivors include five children, Eli Perez of Missouri, Frank Perez of North Carolina, Emma Murphy of Brownwood, Sylvia Perez of Oregon, Dora Hayden of Oregon; three sisters, Juanita Perez, Imelda Perez and Anita Canales, all of Mexico; seven grandchildren, Claude Murphy, Selena Bradford, Rebecca DeLeon, James Murphy, Crystal Hayden, Katie Hayden, Shawn Hayden, Jr; seven great grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Johnny Andrade and wife, Alice, of San Angelo.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elia Eulalia Perez on November 22, 2014; three brothers, Francisco, Alfredo, Ramiro and three sisters, Maria, Consuela and Alicia.
