Rex Bailey Morgan

Rex Morgan, age 72, of Coleman, died Thursday, February 10, 2022, at his residence.

A private interment will be at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

He was born Rex Bailey Morgan on August 22, 1949, in Palacios, Texas to Buddy Calvin Morgan and Tillie Chance Morgan. Rex grew up in Victoria and Crosby and graduated from Crosby High School. He proudly served in the United States Army.  He worked in construction and welding. Rex was also an expert carpenter and wood crafter. He enjoyed gardening, working in his greenhouse, and cooking. Rex attended the House of Yahweh. He will be missed.

Rex is survived by his wife, Joan Harrison of Coleman; his daughters, Joanie Denise Woosley of Coleman, and Melinda Drake of Coleman; his grandchildren, Jessica Woosley, Michael Woosley, and Anthony Woosley; and his great-granddaughter, Hannah Murray.
