Richard Flores, age 54, of Talpa, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at his residence.
He was born Richard Flores on June 5, 1964 in Morton, Texas to Juan Flores and Anita Perez. He was a long time resident of Coleman County and worked at many places including Stemple Manufacturing, The John Deere House, and Kohler in Brownwood. Richard loved fishing, working on lawnmower parts, and building anything with his hands. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Talpa Fire Department and attended the Baptist Church in Talpa.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Simon Baldarez
He is survived by his significant other, Ramona Flores of Talpa; one daughter, Racheal Johnson of Talpa; one son, Richard Flores, Jr. and fiancée Tonya Flores of Coleman; grandchildren Donald White, Ryan White, Sierra White, Kylee Boatright, Hayden Dean, Halie Flores, Eric Flores; three brothers, Juan Flores and wife Yrma of Coleman, Damacio Baldarez, Jimmy Hernandez and wife Regina of Leoti, Kansas; two sisters, Sylvia Flores and wife Cindy of Brownwood, Mary Luera of Brownwood; multiple nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral service will be held 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Aparicio Puentes officiating. Burial will follow in the Talpa Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Prayer service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, and will be followed by a visitation with family and friends.
