Robert "Bob" Storey

Robert "Bob" Storey, 74, of Coleman, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Robert "Bob" Storey was born January 11, 1941 in Coleman to Robert Newton Storey and Minnie Belle Hubbard Storey. He grew up and attended school in Coleman. He served in the National Guard. On October 9, 1976, he married Joan Day in Coleman. Bob worked for many years as a mechanic at Taylor Motor Company and at D & R Automotive. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Storey of Coleman; one sister, Peggy Walker of Abilene; three children, Gerald Storey and wife, Joy, of Coleman, Doug Storey and wife, Vanessa, of Goldthwaite, Jeannie Lusk and husband, Layne, of Oklahoma; four step-children, Bobby Russell and wife, Venus, of Bangs, Becky Jo Russell of Coleman, Maxine Russell of Dallas, Steven Russell of Brownwood; sister-in-law, Myrtie Storey of Coleman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Storey and Wayne Storey.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home.
