Rodney Crowder, age 55, of Coleman, died Monday, October 11, 2021.
The family will host a visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. on Friday October 15, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Kenneth Colgrove officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
He was born Rodney Glen Crowder on November 22, 1965, in Coleman, a son of Freddie Paul Crowder and Brenda Kay Brooks Crowder. Rodney grew up in Coleman and attended school in Novice. He was a life-long resident of Coleman County and worked at FC and Sons Construction.
Rodney enjoyed fishing, hunting, building things, and working with his hands. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them every chance he got. Rodney had a heart of gold and made sure he told everyone he loved them daily. His kind heart and personality will be missed.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Brenda Crowder.
He is survived by his children, Joshua Crowder and girlfriend Ryleigh of Early, Jennifer Holster and husband Josh of Early, and Jessica Crowder of Coleman; three sisters, Taleesa Dean and husband Joshua of Burkett, Sharon Sessom of Coleman, and Rebecca Crowder of Brownsville; two brothers, Joe Bob Crowder of Coleman and David Crowder and wife Brandy of Santa Anna; five grandchildren, Lyric Crowder, Cameron Crowder, Britlee Holster, Raeleigh Holster, and Finley Holster; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
