Rodney Dale Parton

Rodney Dale Parton passed peacefully in his home in Coleman on Monday, January 9, 2023.  Rodney was born February 9, 1962 in Clovis, New Mexico to Clarence Parton and Patricia Kirby Parton.

Rodney enjoyed spending time with his brother Randal, laughing and cutting up about life, NASCAR and football. Rodney graduated high school in Novice, where he had many friends and great memories. He loved his family and cherished each moment he had with them. Rodney worked at General Leathercraft in Coleman. He spoke of his work family with great happiness and much delight. Rodney looked forward to his me time, where he enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and loved playing his drums and his guitar. Rodney had a cat that was meaner than hell, no one could ever pet it or hold it, but he loved his cat.

Preceding Rodney in death are his parents, Clarence and Patricia Parton.

Rodney is survived by his brother Randal Parton and wife, Tammy, of Coleman; niece Brittany Robinson and husband, Cory, of Coleman; nephews Brian Fry of Coleman, Brandon Fry of Marble Falls, along with great nieces and nephews. Rodney is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and many cousins, whom he loved.

A private inurnment will be held at the Midway Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
