Ronnie Hamilton, 74, of Fisk, died Friday, October 20, 2017 at Coleman County Medical Center. Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Brown Ranch Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will be in the Brown Ranch Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Ronnie Kent Hamilton was born December 4, 1942 at home in Fisk to Elwood and Ruby McQueen Hamilton. He grew up in Fisk and attend school at Mozelle. He served in the Texas National Guard for several years. He worked in the oil field for some time, the County of Coleman as a maintainer operator for 10 years, farmed and ranched all his life and loved to read.
Survivors include two sisters, Laverne Horn of Abilene, Joy Chennault of Ruston, Louisiana; one brother, Mac Hamilton of Voss; 11 nieces and nephews, Michael Horn of Abilene, Kay Musemeche of Levelland; Ronald Ray of Burnett, Brad Whitfield of Glen Rose, Brenda Peak of Abilene, Gayland Hamilton of Horseshoe Bay, Terri Robertson of Abilene, Stacy Hamilton of Texas City, Robin Carpenter of Abilene, Steven Chennault of Natchitouches, Louisiana, John Chennault of Ruston, Louisiana; numerous great nieces and great nephews and great-great nieces and great-great nephews and good friend and neighbor, Scotty Lawrence of Coleman.
Along with his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Whitfield; one brother, Alton Hamilton; one niece, Judy Whitfield; two nephews, Rusty Horn, Johnny Ray and one great-great nephew, Jasbo Whitfield.
