Simon P. Balladarez

Simon P. Balladarez, 53, of Coleman died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Simon was born on April 23, 1960 in Tulia, Texas. He grew up and attended schools in Tulia and Tribune, Kansas. He moved to Coleman in 1980. Simon worked for Dry Manufacturing, Stemple Manufacturing, Pipe Yard and McMillian's Tire Shop.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Cantu of Coleman; six brothers and sisters, Maria Luera of Brownwood; Jimmy Hernandez and wife, Virginia, of Leoti, Kansas; Damacio Balladarez of Morton, Richard Flores of Talpa, Juan P. Florez and wife, Irma, of Coleman; Sylvia Florez of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Mason and McKenzie Leek of Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando Balladarez and Ana de Jesus Perez Luna.

A Prayer Service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with visitation following.
