Soledad Barrios Lopez, a devoted homemaker and beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away on July 22, 2024, at her residence in Coleman, Texas. Soledad was born in Nostic, Jalisco, Mexico. She was united in marriage to Juan Barrios in Valparaizo, Zacatecas, Mexico., on October 11, 1947. Juan preceded her in death on January 7, 2000. Soledad then moved to Coleman on January 10, 2000, where she lived a life filled with family, dedication, and strength.
Soledad will always be remembered for her warm spirit, selfless nature, and deep commitment to her family. Her hobbies included crocheting sweaters, cooking delicious meals, gardening, and caring for her fruit trees. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will be cherished by her children: Maria Barrios Olivares, Jose Manuel Barrios, Juan Barrios, Arturo Barrios, and Dolores Barrios Gonzalez; as well as her 12 grandchildren: Martin Barrios, Carlos Barrios Sr., Rosa Barrios, Estella Barrios, Esteban Barrios, Manuel Barrios, Cristina Barrios, Isabel Dias, Jesus Barrios, Francisco Guerra, Javier Guerra, and Richard Guerra; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister Francisca Barrios; and one brother Apolinar Barrios.
Visitation for Soledad Barrios Lopez will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 24th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Vigil beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coleman with Father Thomas officiating, followed by interment at Coleman Cemetery.
In her passing, Soledad leaves behind an irreplaceable void but her spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace and always be remembered for her kindness, strength, and boundless love.
Soledad was preceded in death by her husband Juan and six children Jesus Barrios, Maria Barrios, Jose Barrios, Concepcion Barrios, Victoria Barrios, and Maria Barrios.
