Thomas Lee Floyd, Jr. age 49, of Boerne, and former long-time resident of Coleman, died Monday, June 7, 2021, at his residence. The family will host a visitation on Wednesday, June 9, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Glen Cove Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Thomas was born April 24, 1972 in Abilene, a son of Thomas Lee Floyd, Sr. and Patricia Ann Brown Barrett. He grew up in Coleman and attended school here. On June 12, 2014 he married Anita Farris Monroe in Coleman. Thomas worked as a welder, ranch hand and cowboy. He enjoyed fishing, barbecuing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed doing leatherwork. He and Anita moved to Boerne earlier this year and he will be deeply missed by his family.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Floyd of Boerne; his mother, Patricia Barrett of Llano; children, Ranee Weiss and husband Dustin of Santa Anna, Lesli Jones of Coleman and Jeremy Monroe and wife Taya of Boerne; his sister, Catrena Stewart of Santa Anna; eight grandchildren, Carli Ferguson of Coleman, Maddison Ferguson, Bayli Ferguson, Journey Hurtado, Jaxten Hurtado all of Boerne, Lydia Weiss, Isaiah Weiss and Kylee Weiss all of Santa Anna; one great-grandson, Kaisen Ferguson of Boerne, nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lee Floyd, Sr., grandparents, Allison Brown, Billy and Shirley Tennison and Pete and Wanda Floyd.
