William Lee Isbell, Sr

William Isbell, Sr., age 58, of Coleman, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Coleman County Medical Center. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be in Coleman Cemetery.


William Isbell, Sr. was born August 12, 1955 in Coleman, Texas, the son of Raymond Lee Isbell and Velva Mae "Pete" Parks Isbell. He grew up in Coleman and attended school here.


He worked as a mechanic and a tire technician. He also worked in the oil field.


Survivors include his wife, Pat Cope, of Coleman; children, Willie Isbell and wife, Heather, of Santa Anna, Alex Isbell of Coleman, and Tina Carpenter and husband, Greg, of Edmond, Oklahoma; step-children, Christopher Slayton, Shannon Slayton and Derrek Monroe all of Coleman; a sister, Mary Ann Isbell of Coleman; numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins.


Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
