William Jeff Justice

William Jeff Justice, 92, of Coleman, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Wichita Falls. Funeral service with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Rev. Brad Slaten officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

William Jeff Justice was born February 2, 1923 in Farmer's Branch to Lee Marks Justice and Mattie John Hudson Justice. He grew up in Coleman, attended South Ward Elementary and graduated from Coleman High School. He then graduated from John Tarleton College, now Tarleton State University. He also attended the University of Oklahoma and Sul Ross State University. On April 11, 1945, he married Edwina Hane in southern California.

William Jeff Justice served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II, serving aboard the USS Gilbert Islands. He received the Naval Aviator Insignia, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with Numeral 3 Device, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three Bronze Campaign Stars, the Philippine Liberation Medal as well as other medals and citations.

After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corp, Mr. Justice moved back to Coleman. He was a rancher and owner of Coleman Produce. He was a former Boy Scout Master, member of the Coleman Flying Club, member of the Marine Corp Aviation Association and First United Methodist Church in Coleman.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Blais and husband, Richard, of San Diego, California; one son, Jeff Justice and wife, Angela, of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren, Dr. Jeff William Justice of Stephenville, Heather Justice of Austin, Kim Lazar and husband, Scott, of Fair Lawn, New Jersey; great-grandson, Jonah Justice Lazar of Fair Lawn, New Jersey; sister-in-law, Carlie Justice Wilson of Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edwina Justice on February 19, 2011; six brothers and sisters, Lee Mark Justice, Mickey Justice, Mary Michaels, Pat Justice, Joan Kelso and Hudson Justice.

Memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
