William Rob O'Hair, Jr., 77, of Coleman died Monday, September 14, 2015 at Coleman County Medical Center. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Rev. Dewayne Rasor officiating, assisted by Rev. Michael Rasor. Interment will be in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
William Rob O'Hair, Jr. was born May 5, 1938 in Coleman to Rob O'Hair, Sr. and Yvonne Thorton O'Hair. He grew up in Coleman, was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Coleman High School and the University of Texas. He later attended Baylor Law School. Rob also served in the Texas State Guard for years, retiring as Lieutenant Colonel. Rob also received his real estate license and was a rancher. On November 25, 1978, Rob married Jean Essary in Coleman.
Rob was a devoted University of Texas Fan. Rob and Jean loved travelling, starting in tents and moved up to cruising on luxury cruise ships. Rob has a lot of true friends in Coleman. Coleman is a place he never wanted to leave. There are a few special friends that made Rob's last days enjoyable. He could not have adjusted to being ill without them. They are Ken, Glenn, Donnelly, Fred, Richard, Clovis and Dona�"which he called all of them "Partners".
Survivors include his wife, Jean O'Hair of Coleman; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jurl and Carolyn Essary of Waxahachie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mr. J.R.B. and wife, Laura, Dennis and wife, Andi, J.W. and wife, Josie, Dewayne and wife, Karen, Sam and wife, Debbie, Anthony and wife, Donna; one awesome sister-in-law, P.A. and Bill; cousins, Russell and wife, Kathy, Nancy and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday before the funeral service.
